The American Society of Test Engineers, Inc. (ASTE) Home Page. The ASTE is an all-volunteer, non-profit corporation dedicated to Quality, Integrity, and Advancement of Test Engineering Professionals.

Membership in the ASTE offers the following services:

A. Free subscription to The ASTE Newsletter published quarterly and mailed to your home or place of work via U.S. Mail. The newsletter is packed full of the latest information relevant to test engineers and the test industry as a whole. It includes:

Test articles and editorials on national/international test technological issues and standards such as VXI, PXI, Scan, BIST, etc., listing WWW pages for further reading.
Announcements of future test related conferences and selected test conf. reviews
Review of over 20 technical test related journals and magazines per month, listing test articles you may have missed.
One page dedicated to "Test Engineering Job Seekers" with the latest WWW job lists, job fairs, and related ASTE job advice.
Test related book reviews.
Free test related products available in today's market (both on-line and off)..
A testers grapevine and rumor mill.
Test related software, firmware, and hardware tips.
A place to publish test related articles and ask test questions, via E-mail.

B. A centralized forum for test professionals to publish test related articles of interest, organize technical group meetings, present new test related products and services in our newsletter, get information on test related subjects, test related jobs, Alamo car rental discounts, and a listing in the ASTE Mailing List.

Presently the ASTE (national) has members in 22 states and Canada, including management, engineers, technicians, and students. The cost structure for membership is as follows:

Individual: $40.00 per year

Corporate: $400.00 corporate fee per year. Paid Corporate members are granted access to the ASTE mailing list for use only within the immediate corporate member's structure.

Full Time Student Membership: $15.00 per year

ASTE Chapter: A group of ASTE members may organize a chapter using the ASTE name and non-profit status. For more information on and regulations on starting a chapter in your area please contact the ASTE National directly.
