Atlanta-based, AppForge, develops software that lets you create powerful applications for handheld devices including PDAs, barcode scanners, and phones. AppForge software integrates directly into Visual Basic 6.0 enabling developers to write applications that will run on over 90% of the world's handheld, mobile, and wireless devices.
Chris Tyburski, CTO of AppForge, will deliver a technical presentation on how to create your own custom applications for a PDA using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.

With AppForge software you can easily create an application that takes measurements from your data acquisition hardware (i.e. temperature sensor, scanner, etc.), view your measurements in different views, store measurements in your Palm device and use HotSyncŪ technology to move your stored measurements to a personal computer.

Chris will discuss the many applications in which AppForge can be used to create powerful test applications, including:

  • Data Acquisition

  • Test Data Collection

  • Status Monitoring

  • Virtual Test Instruments

  • Web-Based Reporting
